Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF)

Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) is a US-based nonprofit operating in the Middle East with 25 fundraising chapters around the world. Since its founding in 1991, PCRF has helped more than 2,000 children affected by conflict-injuries, and sent thousands to the United States, Europe, and other Arab countries for treatment, surgery, and customised prosthetics.

Programmes

  • Humanitarian programmes and projects
    Organising sponsorship programmes for donors looking to contribute to paediatric mental health, monthly sponsorships of handicapped children, supporting orphans in Gaza, and refugee food aid. PCRF also implements humanitarian projects to support Palestinian children with food, hygiene, education, access to energy, peer support, and recreational activities and sporting events for amputees.
  • Medical missions
    Sponsoring volunteer missions of doctors and nurses to go to Palestinian and Lebanese areas to treat children, perform surgery, and train local doctors. Since 1995, PCRF has organised over 500 missions to the Middle East.
  • Paediatric cancer departments
    PCRF established two paediatric cancer departments in Palestine, one named after the founder's late wife Huda Al Masri in the West Bank, and another one in Gaza, where children receive treatment for free.
  • Paediatric cardiac programme
    Organising missions of paediatric cardiology specialists to treat Palestinian children born with heart defects.
  • Treatment abroad programme
    PCRF sponsors children with complicated medical conditions to travel with a parent or a guardian to the United States, Europe, and other countries to receive treatment.
