Dar Al Ber Society

Dar Al Ber Society is a charitable organisation based in the United Arab Emirates, dedicated to humanitarian aid and development projects. Established in 1979, its mission is to provide support to those in need, both locally and internationally, through a variety of initiatives that promote social welfare, education, healthcare, and emergency relief. It also seeks to grow Islamic tolerance and awareness, and supports Quran recitation (tajweed) initiatives.

  • Care Packages in the UAE

    In the first half of 2022, Dar Al Ber's Department of Zakat provided DHS 42.9m in local aid to 346,541 beneficiaries.

    In the first quarter, DHS 17.5m supported 2,052 humanitarian cases. 

    In the second quarter, DHS 25.3maided 344,489 beneficiaries in areas such as medical treatment, housing, utilities, food, and other essential needs. 

  • Distribution of Aid Overseas

    During the first hald of 2022, Dar Al Ber Society spent over DHS 206.5m, benefiting 2.9 million people globally through 22,517 charitable and sustainable development projects. 

    These projects included:

    • Building 2,144 mosques
    • 8,121 water-saving initiatives 
    • 3,433 charitable endowments
    • 4,929 projects for productive families
    • 5,285 medical projects

    Seasonal projects were implemented in 37 countries, providing food, Ramadan Aid, Eid clothing, costing DHS 4.74m.

    Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Mulhairi, CEO, highlighting that in the first quarter, 8,901 projects cost DHS 50.2m, and in the second quarter, 13,616 projects cost DHS 51.9m.

    Humanitarian Relif efforts in countries like Syria, Iraq, and Nigeria totaled DHS 9.7m. 

    Projects for orphans, epople of determination, and students-in-need, amounted to DHS 47.2m, benefiting 68,893 individuals.

  • Expiation

    Expiations (Atonement) - This sector focuses on the act of making amends or repiration for wrongdoings/guilt. This is a Religious sector that allocates resources towards Oath, Vow, Zihaar, and Alaala Expiations.

  • Online Charity Appeals

    Dar El Ber Society provides a number of online charity appeals that focus on different areas and have specialized projects.

    Masajid - Includes building Mosques and supervising them, digging walls, allocating charitable endowments from buildings and land. This sector allows people to donate online towards these projects to help build, protect, and maintain Mosques, Orphanages, and other sanctuary-like buildings in various countires. Countires include: Oganda, UAE, Albania, Somolia, Benin, Burkina, Thailand, Tanzania, Gambiaa, Kenya, Egypt, Malaqi, Mauritania, and Faso. 

    Mosque Services - Includes printing copies of the Qu'ran, financial assistance to Mosque servies, and other donations. Countries include: Indonesia, Albania, Senegal, India, Benin, Burkina, Thailand, Faso, Côte d'lvoire, Gambiaa, Ghana, Kenya, Egypt, Malaqi, Maurirania, and Mauririus.

    Water Projects - This project aims donations at making clean water accesible. People can donate towards water wells, directly support/donate water to one family, provide water filters, water coolers, water tanks etc. Countries include: Indonesia, Oganda, Albania, Somalia, Philippine, India, Benin, Burkina, Thailand, Faso, Côte d'lvoire, Tajikistan, Gambiaa, Ghana, Kosovo, Kenya, Egypt, Malawi, Mauritania, and Mauritius. 

    Charity Endowments - Allows donations for neccessity items such as fans, shroud, chair of prayer, school desk, etc. Countries include: Indonesia, Oganda, Jordan, UAE, Albania, Senegal, Somolia, Philippine, Niger, India, Benin, Burkina, Faso, Thailand, Côte d'lvoire, Tajikistan, Gambiaa, Ghana, Kosovo, Kenya, Egypt, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius. 

    Family Projects - Provides online donations to families in need. Supports include school uniforms, mosquito nets, buy a blanket, school bag, bread charity, clothe an orphan, provide a veil/hijab for a poor muslim woman, provide shoes for an orphan, providing ready made meals for a family/orphan, donate heating (charcoal), or donate a food basket. Countires include: Indonesia, Jordan, UAE, Albania, Senegal, Somolia, Philippine, India, Benin, Burkina, Thailand, Faso, Côte d'lvoire, Gambiaa, Ghana, Kosovo, Kenya, Egypt, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius.

    Health and Medical Porjects - Supports financial donations to provide medical servoces and neccessary nutrients/procedures. These projects include donating baby milk, supporting kidney dialysis, medical earphones, circumcision, medical kits, eyeglasses, medicine bags, and other free treatments for those in need. Countries include: Indonesia, Oganda, Jordan, UAE, Albania, Senegal, Somolia, India, Benin, Burkina, Faso, Thailand, Côte d'lvoire, Tajikistan, Gambiaa, Ghana, Kosovo, Kenya, Egpyt, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius. 

    Sacrifice Projects - Allow people to donate towards live goods such as Sheep to support those in need. Countires include: UAE.
