The struggle to support a country in crisis
Over-stretched, under-resourced, and exhausted, aid organisations are being strained to the limit as they do all they can to care for the besieged citizens of Lebanon. The shock of Israel's barbaric assault on the country has moved many people to donate to NGOs working on the ground — but it isn't enough. They need large-scale, sustainable support and they need it now.
The Arab Foundations Forum invites you to hear firsthand from local and international groups providing food, clothing, shelter, and medical aid to many of the estimated 1.2 million people displaced within Lebanon.
They will share stories of scrambling to save lives in a country that was already in the middle of a dire socio-economic crisis even before the bombs started falling. And they will tell us what we can do to help them keep doing their essential work.
